Some of these include inspecting all mechanical components and cleaning sensors, etc.

This means that the correct amount of time and engineers’ resource is allocated to ensure your doors are safe, reliable and reducing overall costs.

Preventative maintenance servicing reduces the failure of equipment. This is backed up with the level of service our customers require as we understand that when a door fails it affects your business.

For automatic doors as an example the minimum for compliance to BSEN16005 and BS7036 2014 is once per year and a risk assessment checklist document issued.

The manufacturers may specify when service parts are replaced due to the amount of operations, so you may need to increase the amount of service visits and replacement of parts to ensure the safe and continued operation.

It is very common within the industry to sell service contracts at a loss to gain the business but operationally the company cannot provide the level of service that you, the customer requires. Also, any quotations and further works are marked up to counteract the loss and as an example a simple battery pack replacement costs £500 instead of £200 including parts and labour and so on.

We at BH doors would never take on a service contract that we could not provide the level of service or the work required for your doors to be to safe and reliable.

School commercial door service

Tannery Drift First School

“Thank you for your team for sorting out the door at Tannery Drift School. Had you not been able to intervene and secure the door as you did, Natalie would have had no option but to stay overnight at the school. As much as she likes working there, that would have been a bridge too far!! It was terrific service, and you should be proud of it.”

Holiday Inn

“The guys were  brilliant today, I have updated our files so from this point on you are the only company that we allow to service or repair any of the doors on site.”
