Emergency Automatic Swing Door Repairs – Department of Politics, University of Oxford

This particular call out was automatic swing door manufactured by Record on the main entrance of the Department of Politics.

We deployed our yellow safety barriers to designate a safe working area and investigated the reported fault.

It was apparent that the door hanging system was out of alignment causing the door not to close and secure.

Due to this also the automatic operator would not function correctly showing an error. This was a security issue to the building as it is linked to the access control system as only staff with access use this entrance, so needed to be repaired as soon as possible.

The top of the door was realigned and refixed, testing all operations including locking to demonstrate to the building manager.
