Automatic Swing Door Repair – Oxford Health NHS Trust, High Wycombe

automatic swing door repair buckinghamshire

As part of our contract with Oxford Health NHS Trust, we provide same day emergency response to faults with any automatic door on their sites. This particular call out was an automatic swing door at a site in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

We deployed our yellow safety barriers to designate a safe working area and investigated the reported fault. It was apparent that door was false activating and a sensor was detecting. Due to this also the automatic operator would not function correctly showing an error.

This was a security issue to the building as it is linked to the access control system as only staff with access use this entrance, so needed to be repaired as soon as possible.

The issue was that the external sensor was full of insects and spiders which was causing the sensor to detect.

These sensors have to be very sensitive as they detect to the floor over which the door sweeps to ensure that any person within this area is detected and the door does not impact or crush them.

After thoroughly cleaning the sensor and recalibrating it, tested the door operation with a test body, the door was put back into operation.

This highlights where BH Doors are different, available to provide quick solutions, quotations and understand your business needs. These are some of the values which get overlooked when customers are looking for a Service Contract Agreement based on the price and never take into account what they really need.

Our ethos is that we care about our customers, have pride in the work we carry out and be accountable at all times.

This is why we understand that anybody in a position of ensuring that a building functions correctly and works to a budget requires fixed costs, agreed call out response times, pre-planned service visits, qualified engineers and health and safety compliance.
