Touchless Automatic Sliding Door, Oxfordshire

Today we installed a touchless automatic sliding door at Millets farm in Frilford, Oxfordshire.

Millets Farm made the decision to extend their restaurant seating area by means of an Oak Timber frame building attached to the existing structure.

The requirements for the automatic sliding door were to –

• Ease of entrance and exit without the need for persons to touch the doors
• Insulated to reduce the transfer of the external temperature into the restaurant
• Sufficient opening width to provide access for wheelchair users, pushchairs and buggies
• Interfaced into the fire alarm system to provide a means of escape in the event of fire
• Integral battery back up system to provide escape if there was a power failure
• Low running cost as power consumption less than 100 watts
• Eliminate risks such crushing, impact, drawing in and shearing by the door design and installation complying with EN16005 and BS7036
• Installation of pocket doors and safety sensors
• Powder coated to match windows, etc
