Temple Cowley Church Movable Wall Refurbishment, Oxford

Design – 100 year old movable wall which splits up the church to provide separate room for hire and crèche facilities.

Issues

• Pass doors had dropped onto floor damaging surface
• Difficult to open/close system as some panels had dropped
• System noisy to operate as bearings seized

Solutions

• Remove cladding around track to gain access more easily and make this more easier to work upon in the future
• Remove all panels
• Refix all hinges
• Clean and lubricate all rollers
• Clean top and floor track
• Rehang and realign all panels to give correct clearances
