Roller Shutter Installation – Public Kiosk, Cambridge City Council
BH Doors & Engineering Ltd successfully completed the installation of four new commercial-grade windows and four new roller shutters at a public kiosk facility for Cambridge City Council.
The project was undertaken to enhance the security and resilience of the kiosk, which is located in a publicly accessible area and therefore required robust protection against unauthorised access, vandalism, and potential damage outside operational hours.
The works included the removal of existing elements where necessary, installation of the new windows, fitting of four roller shutter systems, and final testing to ensure safe and reliable operation.
All works were carefully planned and delivered within a live public environment, with appropriate health and safety measures implemented to minimise disruption to members of the public and surrounding facilities.
Upon completion, the kiosk benefited from significantly improved physical security, enhanced asset protection, and a modernised appearance, providing the Council with a durable, low-maintenance solution suitable for a high-footfall public location.
The project was completed safely, on schedule and to the client’s satisfaction, demonstrating BH Doors & Engineering Ltd’s capability to deliver security-focused installation projects within the public sector.
