DDA Accessible Swing Door installation, Oxford

Following a DDA accessible audit by Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust at Church House Kidlington Oxford, there was requirement to automate the existing entrance doors. We always attend site and carry out survey to understand the requirements prior to quotation and installation. BH doors want to ensure that the installation, fits the requirements, provides a solution, works operationally and above all safely.

The installation comprised of an Entrematic DAB305 swing operator activated by push pads with on door BEA 4Safe safety sensors mounted to each door leaf. As the doors were compliant in width, we only needed to automate one door and thus save the customer money.

It is important that all installations of automatic doors have any risks designed out or any residual risks reduced to a safe level. Then the installation is subject to a risk Assessment Checklist as part of compliance to EN16005 and BS7036.
