Disabled Access Doors at Ruskin College in Oxford

The need was to allow a wheelchair bound student use the building for their study. The building has a lift but we had to overcome issues with access.

We have fitted Fireco products –

• Dorguards to corridor fire doors which hold them open‎ until the fire alarm is activated.
• Freedors to project rooms allowing easy opening and closing of the fire doors, but will close ‎when the fire alarm is activated.

We also automated the door into the workshop which is linked to the access control and is push pad activated. The door can be used manually by able bodied people.
