Axim Aluminium Door Repair & Refurbishment, Bedfordshire

Today we repaired the main entrance aluminium doors at Edward Peake school in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.

We were called to site initially for a quotation to replace the doors and found that –

  • they did not close together
  • were difficult to lock
  • the threshold was damaged

The customer was surprised when we offered a quotation to repair the existing doors which alternately saved the school money and them not having to wait for 6-8 weeks for fabrication of new.

We returned to site and carried out a risk assessment and deployed our yellow men barriers to designate a safe working area. With new mechanical parts including a threshold plate, removed both Axim doors and replaced all parts. After installing them to the aluminium doors, we aligned the frame to allow the system to seal correctly as well. The doors were tested for opening and closing, adjusting the Axim door closers for a slow closing action due to the doors within a school. All locks tested and everything cleaned as good as new.
