Automatic Swing Door Operator Replacement – Allmakes 4×4 – Witney, Oxfordshire

We provide for compliance servicing of all types of commercial doors including automatic as seen here at All Makes 4×4 in Witney, Oxfordshire. During a routine service as per our schedule which includes inspecting and testing, we found that there was a failure with the external DDA automatic door on the main entrance.

A quotation was submitted for a replacement due to major fault with the processor on an obsolete ASSA Abloy operator.

The customer accepted and we arranged the installation to be carried out at the most convenient time and arrived on site when agreed. We always carry out a risk assessment and deploy our yellow safety barriers to designate a safe working area.

For the new installation we used the Record DFA127 operator and reused the on-door safety sensors which monitor the sweep area of the door. If a sensor detects a person or object will stop at a safe distance eliminating any risk of impact or crushing.

Also to keep the cost to a minimum we reused the existing activation sensors. The new operator was colour matched to the existing doors and frames.

Following setting up, commissioning and testing we handed over all documentation. It is also important to train the staff on safe use of the door system and what to do in case of an emergency.

Also, we went through what to do if the operator went into fault for any reason and how to carry out a customers reset to save time and inconvenience.
