Automatic Swing Door Repair at BBC New Broadcasting House, London
We were contacted by the BBC’s facilities supplier Mitie to attend site to repair an automatic swing door on the 3rd floor of New BH as the preferred contractor could not attend. This particular call out was to a pair of swing doors manufactured by Record installed by ourselves back in 2012.
We deployed our yellow safety barriers to designate a safe working area and investigated the reported fault. It was soon apparent that the safety sensor had failed on the door causing the doors to stand open.
We provided the customer with a quotation the same day and returned the next day. The new BEA control board was replaced, commissioned, tested with the access control system and the door left in working order.
