Geze Automatic Door Safety Upgrade & Risk Reduction, Cambridge

Following our first service visit to the Cambridge Research Campus, we identified that there was a risk of crushing within the Geze curved sliding doors as found during the compliance test. Here we are upgrading the safety sensors to elimin

ate the risk and comply with BSEN16005.

When servicing automatic sliding doors, the minimum for compliance to BSEN16005 and BS7036 2014 is once per year and a risk assessment checklist document issued. We generally offer 2 visits per year. Also, the manufacturers may specify when service parts are replaced due to the amount of operations, so you may need to increase the amount of service visits and replacement of parts to ensure the safe and continued operation.

Within our service contract we have a specific schedule of works we carry out for each different door type which is detailed within the quotation including carrying out specific tests and a risk assessment. We have used our experience, the manufacturers service specifications and legislation compliance to adopt these procedures. This means that the correct amount of time and engineers’ resource is allocated to ensure your doors are safe, reliable and reduce overall costs.

Cambridgeshire is one of the areas we cover including Oxfordshire, Essex, Peterborough and Suffolk, allowing us to provide the level of service our customers require should they also have a problem with their automatic door.
