Aluminium Security Door Repair at Harefield United Football Club

​Following an emergency call out we provided a quotation to repair the main entrance security door at Harefield Football Club as the door was closing dangerously and was difficult to lock.

On initial inspection we found that the aluminium door was the closer had failed and the door was binding on the threshold.

We returned to site to carry out the repair, which required us to remove the door to allow us to replace the parts. We always carry out a risk assessment then deployed our yellow men barriers to designate a safe working area.

With the door removed we replaced the –

• Axim transom closer
• Axim drive arm
• Axim threshold pivot

By replacing all of the mechanical parts, the door now was in as new condition. We refitted the door and checked the alignment with the frame and Assa Abloy lock, adjusting where necessary. The transom closer was set up and tested for closing, adjusted for a smooth closing action. Finally, we cleaned the door, glass and frame completing the repair and provided documentation as all of our work comes with a 12 months guarantee.
