We provided an emergency same day response call out to St Neots Leisure Centre as the automatic sliding door on the main entrance had failed.

We designated a safe working area by deploying our yellow barriers, to allow us to further investigate the problem. Upon removing the cover, it was apparent that 2 of the rollers had failed causing the door to be stuck in the open position.

Due to the age of this operator new rollers were not available so an alternative solution was required. As we carry some common spare parts, we found that we had some larger rollers but needed to be altered and refabricated to fit. These were taken to a local engineering company which machined them to match the existing.

We returned to site later that day and repaired the door. The door was then tested, recommissioned, cleaned and demonstrated to the Manager.
