Temple Cowley Church Movable Wall Refurbishment, Oxford
Design – 100 year old movable wall which splits up the church to provide separate room for hire and crèche facilities.
Issues
- Pass doors had dropped onto floor damaging surface
- Difficult to open/close system as some panels had dropped
- System noisy to operate as bearings seized
Solutions
- Remove cladding around track to gain access more easily and make this more easier to work upon in the future
- Remove all panels
- Refix all hinges
- Clean and lubricate all rollers
- Clean top and floor track
- Rehang and realign all panels to give correct clearances
