Covid 19 – continuing to adapt to a new way of working, keeping people safe and services operable

Our priority continues to be the well-being of our customers and employees, and we are committed to ensuring that our front-line customer service operates in the safest way for us all.

We would like to reassure customers that we are taking all necessary steps to follow the guidance given by the government and the world health organisation at all times.

As Covid 19 continues to play a part in day to day living, some of the measures and changes to our working practices we have taken are as follows –

  • Working from home
  • Increased distance of desks within the office
  • Hand sanitiser at the entrance of the office and all desks
  • Engineers have additional PPE, gloves, face shields and masks
  • Additional cleaning of vans internally and externally
  • Adapted working on site to minimise face to face contact
  • Engineers travelling separately in their own vans
  • Adapted procedure for reporting sickness and inclusion for self-isolating
  • To follow and adhere to any changes in customers procedures
  • Additional risk assessment procedures for engineers on site
We have been categorised as key workers to keep buildings and services operable in particular by –

  • Oxford University Estates
  • Oxfordshire NHS
  • Peterborough City Hospital
  • Papworth Hospital
  • Oxfordshire County Council Schools

All doors, whether manual or automatic, are complex components subject to punishing wear and tear on a daily basis. Therefore, to ensure that they continue to function properly, regular service and maintenance is imperative.

Our continued aim is to provide a first-class service and to ensure that all of our customers have the same experience at a consistently high level.

Our ethos is that we care about our customers, have pride in the work we carry out and be accountable at all times. This is why we understand that anybody in a position of ensuring that a building functions correctly and needs a level of service which matches the requirements of the building operationally. Our service agreements include compliance to SFG20, building regulations and EN16005 for automatic doors.

If there are any new policies, legislation or regulations, we will change and adapt to ensure we continue to offer our services going forward.
