Fire Door Service & Maintenance

In line with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (RRFSO) 2005, and British Standard guidelines, BH Doors & Engineering recommend a 6 monthly planned preventative maintenance regime for fire doors. However, the frequency of visits depends on the usage of the door-sets in question.

If a particular door-set is subjected to high usage, it is strongly advised that multiple maintenance visits are carried out annually to ensure the doorset condition remains in efficient order and in good repair.

We can advise further on your on-going recorded maintenance requirements once an inspection survey has been carried out.

As with the initial first fire door inspection, a full detailed report will be issued upon completion with details of any minor works carried out as part of the routine service maintenance.

“TAfter having a disappointing response from our door installers I looked for an alternative solution and found BH Doors and Engineering on-line. I spoke to David and he arranged to come within a couple of hours and arrived when he said he would. He could not have been more thorough or conscientious, and once he finished our door was working better than it ever had! Thank you David – one of our customers described you as the ‘door doctor’!”
