Aluminium Automatic Door Repair – Savills Offices in Botley, Oxford

We were asked to attend the main entrance of Savills Offices at Wytham Court in Botley, Oxford.

On initial inspection we found that the door was not closing correctly and the automatic door was not operating as it was in fault. Upon further inspection we found that the threshold was damaged causing a tripping hazard and the doors had dropped due to the pivot being broken.

We provided a quotation the same day as we understand that if your door fails it has a knock-on effect to your business and your customers. This required removal of the doors to allow us to replace the parts, so we carried out a risk assessment and deployed our yellow men barriers to designate a safe working area.

Both doors and the threshold were removed to allow the installation of a new double ramped threshold with pivots. This will then provide a weather seal for the building stopping water ingress and the cold.

We refitted the doors and checked the alignment with the seals and locks, adjusting where necessary. The automatic door closer was tested for opening and closing as well as the safety sensors checked for the correct detection. Finally, we cleaned the door, glass and frame completing the repair and provided documentation as all of our work comes with a 12 months guarantee.
